Admit it, we all use our mobile phone search tools like our life depended on it.

One of the problems many small businesses face is the challenge to stay current, modern and up to date. The temptations to scale up and expand instead of focussing on their core brand and what they stand for is often erased from any growth plans. For example, although I enjoyed the odd facial a this local beauty salon, I never quite figured out what they really stood for because they seem to offer all sorts of bits and bobs in the salon.. I take many felt the same way…

So I am going to focus on salons at the moment because I think they face a growing challenge each day from the swelling mobile provider.

How about your salon? Sometimes it is tempting to scale up by trying to innovate, hire more and invest in the next best computer systems, but if you take your eye off your brand’s core values, your clients will slowly start to move away from you.

That of course, does not mean you are not to leap from your current situation to the next stage (whatever that might be), but as you do, here are some things worth remembering…

If you don’t know what your salon brand stands for neither do your clients (we do hair is not enough) Perhaps you should consider another way that you can grow stronger and that could be by scaling back to basics.

If you don’t know where you are driving, chances of arriving anywhere is pretty slim

The latest computer systems do not mean higher sales, could have the opposite effect

Here are 5 tips to get you started on the right path to scaling back:

  1. Ugly flyers can give you more than you need to get busy on a Tuesday afternoon and ultimately.
  2. Every quarter, it is wise to unplug, review, reevaluate, then set in goals, visions, and targets.
  3. It is wise to craft your salon message than learn how to communicate with your clients. Use Social media it can be cheaper andvery effective.
  4. If you stop promotions and marketing you will cut the lifeline from your sales so don’t.
  5. If you don’t understand your individual team member’s needs and aspirations you will always be having staff walkouts (their needs is not what you think they are) Keeping your staff happy can bring in more sales.

… so the moral of this message is, when you are thinking about scaling up, remember, it’s not always about expansions and latest technological innovations, think holistically, think outside the box and remember sometimes scaling back will give you the boost you need to eventually scale up.

After all, when you give a cat some cream they purr, keeping your customers and enticing them to sell your exceptional services is worth investing some quality thinking time each quarter and then acting upon it.

In this post I’ll show you how to get some top quality back links (a hyper link from one site to another) from a variety of different sources, each source is completely unique and I hope to give you a little insight into some of the methods you can use to create back links . When linking to your website you should always try to focus the links using your keywords in the anchor text of the link if it’s possible.

1) Google Profiles

The big G allows you to create your very own profile page on Google.com, use the link and create your own profile page, add a picture and some text about yourself and then add a few links to your websites. Save the page and your done.

2) MSN Articles

Msn is updated everyday with news and articles on just about every subject you can think of, to get a backlink you just need to comment on an article leaving behind your thoughts, name & website link. I created a video on the process to see it use this link Using MSN for free traffic & backlinks

3) Yahoo Answers

Yahoo answers takes a little bit of work initially before you can get your links on their site but once you have done this first bit of work your ready to reap the rewards. I’m sure you’ve heard of GoDaddy ? but I bet you didn’t know you can use the website to get backlinks to your website. 5) Free-Web-Submission.com/Blog Yes!

Top-knots used to be the hairstyle of you did if you didn’t have time to do your hair or you was a granny. But then Chanel’s Fall 2018 ready-to-wear show happened.

The models appeared on the runway as if they had literally just thrown their hair up into the up-do and suddenly ‘undone’ hair was cool again.

For the first time in my life I actually wore a modern top bun and felt really chic.

The trick to the perfect ‘imperfectly perfect’ bun, is to tie your hair into a ponytail before twisting it into a bun, so that the ends remain loose and messy. Then, for added texture

From the humble hair clip to more statement bows and ribbons, hair accessories have stolen the hair limelight in recent months. I predict a sophisticated version will only grow in popularity as women with limited time and wanting to make a statement reach for those clips, grips, bows, gems and pins.

“It really started over the summer months where the heat was extreme and so people were wearing their hair up and accessorising.

Does Rice Water help grow your hair quicker?

Firstly all hair has a growth cycle, so let’s explore that first

Anagen Phase – Growth Phase
Approximately 85% of all hairs are in the growing phase at any one time. The Anagen phase or growth phase can vary from two to six years. Hair grows approximately 10cm per year and any individual hair is unlikely to grow more than one meter long.

Catagen Phase – Transitional Phase
At the end of the Anagen phase the hairs enters into a Catagen phase which lasts about one or two weeks, during the Catagen phase the hair follicle shrinks to about 1/6 of the normal length. The lower part is destroyed and the dermal papilla breaks away to rest below.

Telogen Phase – resting phase
The resting phase follows the Catagen phase and normally lasts about 5-6 weeks. During this time the hair does not grow but stays attached to the follicle while the dermal papilla stays in a resting phase below.

Approximately 10-15 percent of all hairs are in this phase at any one time.
At the end of the Telogen phase the hair follicle re-enters the Anagen phase. The dermal papilla and the base of the follicle join together again and a new hair begins to form. If the old hair has not already been shed the new hair pushes the old one out and the growth cycle starts all over again.

What are the Benefits of Rice Water for Hair and Skin?

Rice water is no ordinary remedy. Its benefits are backed by modern science. According to a study published in the Journal of Cosmetic Chemists, when you apply rice water to your hair, it can reduce friction between the hair strands as well as improve hair elasticity. It means combing and detangling will be so much easier, and hair breakage a thing of the past.

The amino acids present in rice water, in particular, help in the regeneration of hair and aid faster growth of your hair. Also, rice water contains vitamins B, C, and E, which further help in hair growth.

What are the main benefits of FUE over FUT Hair Transplant Procedures

Follicular unit transplantation (FUT) is a hair restoration technique, also known as the strip procedure, where a patient’s hair is transplanted in naturally occurring groups of 1 to 4 hairs, called follicular units. Follicular units also contain sebaceous (oil) glands, nerves, a small muscle, and occasional fine vellus hairs. In follicular unit transplantation, these small units allow the surgeon to safely transplant thousands of grafts in a single session, which maximizes the cosmetic impact of the procedure.

Additionally it is recorded that the risk of long term nerve damage, leading to chronic numbness and/or pain in the donor area can be a side effect of the FUT procedure.

Follicular unit extraction (FUE) is a great surgical option for patients who want to restore their hair with minimal discomfort and scarring. FUE is considered by many to be the most refined approach to hair transplantation.

However, with FUE, the follicles are harvested from a much greater area of the donor zone compared to FUT, estimated to be eight times greater than that of traditional strip excision so requires patients to have hairs trimmed in a much larger donor area

FUE provides an alternative to FUT when the scalp is too tight for a strip excision and enables a hair transplant surgeon to harvest finer hair from the nape of the neck to be used at the hairline or for eyebrows.

Follicular unit extraction (FUE) generally has a quicker patient recovery time and significantly lower post-operative discomfort than follicular unit transplantation (FUT).

The verdict

The survival of follicular units upon extraction (FUE) from the scalp is one of the key variables of successful hair transplantation. If follicular units are transected in the extraction process, there is a greater likelihood that they will not survive the transplant, and the hair transplant will fail. While FUT procedures using strip-harvesting of follicular units typically guarantees a large number of non-transected follicular units. It really depends on the client and the overall visual outcome they want to achieve as to which technique they use and how deep their pockets are.

Alternatives

CREATE YOUR READING LIST

As entrepreneurs, we know that reading great books for our personal and business development is essential if we really want to take things to a new level each year. SET A 90 DAY MONEY GOAL

It’s so important to set your goals around money and map out your plans for how you’re going to achieve them. Money loves clarity and the more clear you are about how much you want your business to grow and how you’re going to make it happen, the more you can expect to see results!

First, identify how much money you want to make in your business over the next 90 days. Working from the framework of a 90 day goal is particularly effective because it’s not too long or too short when it comes to achieving something amazing, so don’t be afraid to dream a little bit out of your comfort zone.

Next, map out what that looks like in terms of clients and sales. How many clients would you need in order to hit that goal? How many sales per month, per week, per day? By honing in on these numbers, you’ll be able to set your daily, weekly, and monthly goals with clarity and ease. Best of all, you’ll be able to focus on taking action and making it happen. 🙂
